with a passion for helping others.

I'm Irene, and I’m thrilled to be working at the intersection of data analytics and behavioral health, crafting a data catalog for an enterprise data warehouse and providing training on business intelligence software. My journey began as an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Central Florida's Center for Research in Computer Vision, leading to multiple publications, awards, and scholarships. After earning my degrees, I pursued hands-on experience in health AI at Duke Health, then transitioned to industry as a Data Analytics Training Specialist. At the same time, I launched My Therapist Said™, a clothing company aiming to destigmatize mental health conversations at work.

Interests & Hobbies

Aside from working my 9-5, I enjoy a variety of other endeavors related to productivity and mental health, including:

  • Installing a pollinator garden in my yard with over 20 types of native perennials and shrubs -> working on achieving the Native Plant Habitat Certification

  • Developing a Python program to generate a grocery list for a users’ chosen meals to help ease the grocery shopping process (check it out on my GitHub!)

  • Writing a memoir that shares my experiences with childhood (and college) trauma (coming soon…)

  • Starting a women’s apparel company that aims to de-stigmatize mental health by creating products that combine practical self-affirming quotes with cute designs and sustainable materials (check out mytherapistsaid.club!)
